Ms. R. Smith

Rules for Ms. Smith's classes:

All homework must be completed in black or blue ink unless otherwise stated.
You are required to complete all homeworks on time. If you are absent, complete homework within one or two days of returning. All late homeworks are graded down one grade for each day late for two days. After that it is not accepted.
Bring your organized 3-ring notebook everyday to class, along with your text. Your notebook should be organized with sections for: Classwork; Journals; Handouts; and Homework. In addition, have a folder for additional handouts.
If you are absent, bring a note from your parents or caregivers explaining your absence.
Be courteous and respectful to your classmates and teacher.
Raise your hands to be called upon to speak.
Do not get up out of your seat without permission.
Do not chew gum in class.
Come prepared by having completed the assigned reading and the assigned homework, essays and projects.
Enter into the community of learners within the classroom by listening attentively to your teacher and to your fellow classmates. Participate by adding your valuable ideas and thoughts to class discussions.
Abide by school rules: No hat wearing, no cell phones or other personal electronic devices.
